Job Description
Position : Meteorological conditions observer
Location: Gaspé Airport
We do not make weather forecasts. We report the current weather conditions at the airport. The data is transmitted to NAV Canada, which then sends it to Environment Canada, pilots, and stations such as Météo Média.
Record the amount of snow or rain received.
Occasionally, record the amount of ice accumulation.
Only a few simple calculations are required.
No prior experience is needed. Training is provided by the employer and is given at the NAV CANADA Training Centre in Cornwall, Ontario. The candidate will be accommodated at the NAV Canada hotel, provided with meals, and paid during the training.

Requirements
- High school diploma (DES)
- Observation skills
- Reliability, responsibility, and punctuality
- Spoken language: French OR English. Training can be done in French OR English.
Work Schedule
- Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Schedule: Day, evening, night shifts, weekdays, and weekends (day, evening, night, weekdays, weekends).
- Starting salary is $19.00 to $21.00 per hour.
